Seasonality: Ayurvedic Time

A working clock was designed, etched, and assembled out of maple wood. The clock reflects the principles of Ayurveda an ancient form of Indian medicine. According to Ayurveda our days, months, and years can be divided into three distinct seasons—Spring, Summer, and Winter. Our activities should change according to what is appropriate for the time. If human beings followed natural cycles like the daily circadian rhythm, the rise and fall of temperatures throughout the months, and the cycles of life and death we would find harmony and balance in our lives.
